Lyng Parish Council have adopted the following Financial policies to ensure good governance. These were last reviewed at the Council meeting held on 21st May 2025 and will be reviewed on an annual basis.

The Notice of Public Rights and Publication of Unaudited Annual Governance and Accountability Return can be viewed below. The period for the exercise of Public Rights was Tuesday 3rd June to Monday 14th July 2025 and was published on 1st June.

Following discussion, the Council agreed at their January meeting to increase the precept for 2025-26 based on the budget forecast and the need to ensure that they continue to build both general and earmarked reserves as per the reserves policy.
