Reserving a grave
You can reserve a grave space in advance in the Cemetery. This may provide you with the opportunity to be close to an existing family grave (depending on availability).
You can reserve a grave for up to 10 years at a fixed cost of £100. The fee is non-refundable and can be renewed on expiry.
Reservation of a grave space does not entitle you to erect a memorial or mark the grave space in any way. Exclusive Rights of Burial and Interment fees will be payable when the first burial is required (Please see list of cemetery fees above – these are reviewed annually).
The Parish Council will advise you when the reservation period is coming to an end and you will have the choice to either renew or surrender the reserved grave. For this reason, it is important that you keep the Council informed of any change of address.

Cemetery Rules & Regulations
The Parish Council have approved rules and regulations to ensure the safe management of the cemetery. Anyone with any concerns should contact the Parish Clerk.
Memorial Inspections
The Parish Council will carry out regular checks of memorials in the cemetery to ensure that they are safe and secure. Any memorials identified as being unstable will be closely monitored and the family contacted to carry out repairs (It is not the responsibility of the Parish Council to arrange for repairs to be carried out). Where a memorial is identified as being an immediate health and safety concern, the Parish Council may take steps to lay the memorial flat pending contact with the family and repairs being carried out. It is important that families keep the Council informed of any change of address so the Council can keep families informed and avoid distress.
Moles
The Council reviewed its policy regarding moles in June 2022 and agreed that it would not seek to kill the moles in the Cemetery. Although moles make hills which some people consider unsightly, killing moles is costly and ineffective. When the moles in an area are killed others quickly move it to colonise the now-empty space. Instead moles should be seen as part of the natural wildlife of the cemetery.
